We are a leading Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) help and support service based in the South East of England.

Support U LGBT

Following our consultation in 2010, we identified the need for a service to help those who need support with LGBT+ issues, and the inclusion of LGBT+ people.

Our service is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who are responsible for delivering the help and support available through our website, telephone helpline and face-to-face sessions.

We're funded through private and corporate donations, and we receive some great help from our partners who offer their services to us at a reduced cost.

In 2014 we began the move to our new home in Castle Street. Still one of our biggest challenges to date. Our wellbeing centre is located 5 minutes from Reading train station, and 2 minutes from The Oracle Shopping Centre. This expansion allows us to offer a broader range of groups and additional counselling services.

"I found [Support U] really helpful to help make sense of my thoughts in order to decide what's best for my situation."

Did you know? A £10 donation, doubled-up by our partner TheGoodExchange, is enough for us to deliver 1 counselling session.
